My crazy little life...

It's been awhile since I have blogged...life has been kinda crazy.  I have two 19 month old girls running circles around me all the time 1 of which has recently decided tantrums are the way to handle things when she doesn't like the way things are going...if you guessed it's ari...you're wrong...surprisingly my SWEET, loving daughter cordi has chosen the tantrum routine.  Both girls are very stubborn but usually cordi's is a more subdued version...lately voiced in sitting ourselves down to hit our head on things...it's a rather painful experience I am sure and takes every bit of me to muster the strength to not respond...I have been told not responding is the best course of action as they tend to want attention and a response and hopefully they will stop the action if they aren't getting the response they desire.  On top of that Cordi started running a 102 temp a week ago wednesday...I wrote it off like so many mothers as teething...on tylenol it was down to 99...it was back up to 102 on friday...we went in.  They couldn't say 100% but were fairly certain with her symptoms she had her first ear infection...19 months old and JUST having her first EI...I was impressed.  It was obvious she felt like poo and probably explained a bit of the behavior the days prior.  Well she's been up and down the last week and yesterday started running a 100 temp again...we kept an eye on her over the weekend and she was still running a 99.9 fever on monday in addition to the rash we had seen middle of last week which had spread to well, everywhere.  We went in and after much debate and several people looking at her we determined...she is allergic to penicillin.  Poor baby.  No wonder she's felt like poo the last week or so.  I'd be fussy too.  We have her on benadryl and hopefully she will bounce back quickly.

They hit 19 months thursday, we celebrated by going outside in the "yard" and playing for a bit before nap.  I snapped a few pics, nothing I adored...they are getting harder and harder to get to look at me and smile...maybe that will come with age or maybe all their pics will be artistic shots of the side of their head for the rest of their childhood.

Ari is talking up a storm, the child easily has 75-100 words she knows and uses all the time.  She is more and more putting 2 words together and sometimes more.  She's acknowleding things like, daddy's car or mommy's car...today was, pretty toes...as she showed me her toe nail polish again.  One of her new favorite words is french fry...yeah...bad habit to start I know...but momma's gotta have her french fries every once and again.  She's started catching a ball too!  Not all the time, but she can put her arms in such a way that she catches it when you toss it at her.  She adores to talk about the potty...sometimes with such concern I am convinced she needs to use it herself...she doen't yet, but when you hear...mommy, potty! (in a forlorn voice) you wonder.  The times I have put her on to try she then says, wipe.  She gets the concept, just not what's actually supposed to happen yet.  And oh how she love to run...that's not a big surprise though.  Ari LOVES her sister, miss independent, we thought for sure she would be fine alone from time to time, but have discovered if you walk out of sight of Cordi all she does is talk about her...where cordi?  cordi?  cordi?  it's adorable.
Love this...partly because it looks SO much like her profile from in utero...
Cordi is growing her vocabulary too...she doesn't have quite as many words yet but easily has 50+ she knows.  She's putting 2 words together more often, hi mommy, hi daddy...daddy car, mommy car...that kind of thing.  She too loves the word french fry, though it's not quite as clear as ari's.  She recently started saying, Thank you, with her mouth open.  She is our famous baby ventrilliquist...she says things with her mouth shut...9 times out of 10 you can tell what she is saying but would not open her lips.  That's been less of an issue lately, and she only seems to go back to that when she's unsure.  She definitely has picked up on running too, it is TOO cute to watch them run. :)  TOO cute...makes me laugh.
LOVE this shot...
heehee...LOVE this face...

We finished reinforcing the floor joists on the main floor recently as well and will be moving on to removing windows, reframing the openings and putting in new windows soon.  They are on order, and will be in a couple weeks.  We also need to finish getting our HVAC stuff put in, meaning our air conditioners, not sure when that will happen, but hopefully before it's too hot to keep the windows open.

I have had a few REAL orders in my Etsy store...that's exciting.  I am still working on a couple of the items, and am hoping it continues forward.  I also offered a couple of my items for a blog giveaway which closes tomorrow and am hoping that those go well and drum up some interest there too.

I've said it before...it's a crazy life, but it's mine...and I wouldn't change it for the world.  Sorry it's so long, but guess that's what I get for not updating more often.

I am having issues uploading pics right now too, so...I will add those later.
