These children astonish me on a daily basis. I kid you not I can a good 90% of the time tell what they are saying and what they want...that is how clear their conversations are these days. Not always, but it amazes me how many DIFFERENT 3 and more word sentences they put together. So I thought I would share a couple...
Sunday we were at my mom's house so Armen could have free reign of the house to work on the project without having to stop for their nap. We played all afternoon and at dinner Ari looks at me and says, "outside Ari bike k?" It took me a second but figured out she wanted to go outside and play on the bikes. We went out and played for quite awhile and Ari ran back into the garage. I asked her what she was doing and she looked at me and said, "popcorn in here?" I said no, we have to go inside for popcorn. To which she replied, "k" and climbs the steps to go back in the house.
Cordi likes to randomly talk about people...usually she has long conversations about grandma, "namna" and grandpa "papa". They have 2 papas at my mom's house since my grandpa their great-grandpa lives there too. The other day she was going on and on about grandma and papa and then tells me "papa is seeping (sleeping)" clarifying to me which papa she was talking about. She also likes to claim Ari is "seepin" when Ari gets in trouble and has to go into a time out in her crib. She also likes to talk about goingt "outside mail" as daddy takes us for daily trips to get the mail, which means a trip outside which we ADORE. She has the CUTEST little soft talking she does...almost muttering or whispering...but it's clear, and adorable. She also can say sorry...usually it's "sorry for the bonk" when she bumps heads with Ari or someone else.
The most hilarious thing lately has been Ari has discovered we have cookies around a bit more and they are getting GREAT at "please, thank you and welcome" they don't use welcome right yet, and pretty much think please will get them everything...but alas...it does not. Anyway, she now asks for a cookie after dinner every night...but we don't just ask, she looks at us and whispers it...sometimes doesn't whisper just lips the word...it's clear as all get out what she wants there is NO mistaking what she is lipping...it's as though she thinks if she is quiet enough and whispers it she will get one and not let Cordi on to the fact there are cookies around. It's quite amusing.
Like I said they use, please and thank you ALL the time...it's fantastic...they now say, "please down" or "up please" when they want to be picked up or put down. They can ask for juice, water, milk, cookies...and most importantly...their monkeys! It is such a blessing to hear the little pleases and thank yous...they are like tiny little polite people!
Such a blessing. So much fun and scary as all get out how fast they are learning and growing.
