Apparently it's been awhile...

So apparently I decided to refrain from blogging...not entirely sure why but wow...it's been awhile....what's new you say?
Well the girls turned 3 on September 8th...wow time has flown.  We had a My Little Pony's themed birthday complete with smooze covered cake (children of the 80's, and my girls, understand).
They visited the dr for their checkups and...drumroll...they both are in the percentiles again!  Well, I should say they are finally in the percentiles...since they never really have been. :)  Both girls are close to 10% for weight and 50% for height.
Ari:
26 pounds
36.25 inches
Cordi
26lbs 13oz
36.75 inches

My favorite thing was in discussion with the dr she said the girls' vocabulary is precocious for 3....ha!  Can you say UNDERSTATEMENT. :)
Their updates:
-talking like CRAZY.  I have been told they talk better than some 5 or 6 year olds
-both are potty trained...ari still wears diapers at night and nap as she's not quite 100% there...Cordi is in underwear 24/7
-both LOVE using their imaginations
-both LOVE playing tag and hide and seek
-both LOVE books, reading is HUGE
-I have NO clue how many songs they know...but it's a lot
-both know most of the nursery rhymes out there
-both can count to 10 sometimes up to 15 or 16
-both can recite their alphabet
-both spot letters EVERYWHERE, lots of A and C's what with their names, but other letters too
-both ride tricycles
-both know all their colors

Other news, I am crazy...probably clinically insane...The assistant at my office (who took over for me when I left after the girls were born) had to have her knee replaced last week...so she's out for 6 weeks...and somewhere along the lines I thought, yeah, that's a good idea...why don't I volunteer to cover for her for 6 weeks full time...GENIOUS.  So I did...I volunteered.  I arranged childcare and away I went.  I am 2 weeks in and man oh man...I have a deep seeded respect for working moms.  I don't know how they do it, cause I BARELY am keeping my head above water.  Between packing up the girls' stuff, getting them up early, getting them dressed and in the car, dropped off where ever they are staying that day, working 8 hours, picking them up, getting food going for everyone, getting kids bathed and in bed, staying on top of laundry, house cleaning, shopping AND not to mention my Etsy shop...I am SLIGHTLY exhausted. :)  I have about 5 weeks left...yeah I know the math doesn't work...but I worked for her the week before her surgery too....

So there you have it...life around here...BUSY. :)  It's been fun...I actually love being back at work...it's nice to get the chance to do something aside from being a mommy for awhile...but yeah...it's a challenge to balance it all and not let things slack around here. :)
