As promised, my most recent blanket has been given to it's receipient and so I can share it with the world. I held a shower for my dear friend Amanda whose sweet baby girl Addison will arrive on February 16th. Their first baby was a bouncing baby boy named Zachary whom I love dearly and have the honor of being considered one of his aunts even though we're not blood related. So, I was THRILLED to have the opportunity to make her another blanket and even more thrilled to pull together something very girly. She loved it and I hope baby Addison will too. The thing I LOVE about this blanket was the fact the only fabric I bought, was the fleece backing...I had a ton of fabrics left from various other blankets, so I decided to come up with something that I could reuse those fabrics in a new and fun way...I think I succeeded. I will saying the stitching is not my best, but, unless you look closely you probably wouldn 't notice. Too, I am starting to hate working with fleece, I measure and cut and plan so carefully and the fleece stretches and pulls so that my lines are not straight like I want them...but then I am a perfectionist about certain things...this being one of them....anyway...here it is..."Addison"...
And a view of my tag...
