and so it begins...

Potty training that is.  I have refrained from this particular step for awhile now...brushing back the signs they might be ready...fearing the the stubbornness that is so strong in them.  Today is day 3...today I am work...that means day 3 is being handled by my mother...whether or not it is being dealt with is another story.  But I have found there is NO good time to start potty training especially when you work outside the home a day or more a week.  Turns out marshmallows and big girl undies are HUGE motivaters for my little ones...I have NEVER seen someone so excited to get to pick a couple pastel marshmallows out of a clear jar...serious...We started Sunday afternoon after nap and so far...

Ari:
-Sunday after nap went potty EVERY time in the potty minus one diaper poo.
-Monday was wet when she woke up in the morning but did EVERY potty in the potty minus one accident over dinner when we let her keep undies on and one over nap diaper poo.

Cordi:
the child has a bladder the size of a HORSE.  She will be my challenging baby.
-Sunday 2 accidents in the afternoon both of which wound up all over the sleeping bag covering the basement floor and mommy.
-Monday 2 accidents 1 was momm'y fault as Ari was on the potty, Cordi was telling me she had to go and I delayed in getting her there to get Ari off the potty and thankfully neither of wound up on mommy. :)  Problem is...she holds it...and holds it...and holds it so when she goes, she goes a LOT.  She's slowly picking up on it though and I am learning when she says she has to go, she HAS to go.

So far, it hasn't been too bad...I definitely think they are ready...and I think this should be a fairly quick process *fingers crossed*...but MAN potty training exhausts me!  Who knew something so seemingly simple could be SO tiring...maybe it's the whole 2 at once thing...Anyway, if any mom's out there have tricks for teaching my daughter with the HUGE-O bladder how to use the potty a bit better...I am all ears. :)
