My grandma passed away 5 years ago this past January. There are moments I miss her so much...things I wish she could be a part of, moments I wish we could have shared, I longed so much for her to live to meet her great grandbabies but God had other plans. When grandpa passed last August we spent some time going through a few of the items in the house...namely grandma's silver...she used to entertain a lot...host card games, meals, etc. Back in her day it was CLASSY hosting too...none of this paper plate kind of stuff. Anyway, I found this piece in her cupboard...I had no clue what it was for, and my mother explained it's a coffee warmer...now, those of you who know me well know I have a SLIGHT coffee obsessiona and I MAY have decorated our previous home in coffee decor (and probably will again when we redo our kitchen). I had call last weekend to pull it out and use it for my sister in law's bridal shower...I was so thrilled to get the chance to use it, but more than anything I was thrilled to be honoring my grandma by using one of her pieces for it's inteded purpose. I love her and miss her so...and love this piece so much...
