Not much going on around here...wow...I don't think I've said that in awhile...About a week ago we held an "open house" ie a chance for the nosy neighbors to come see what all the racket has been for the last 2 years. It was a good chance to see some of our neighbors and show off our hard work. Now it's time for a break...no more projects for awhile...then we'll start on the basement I think so we can live down there when we start the upstairs...then the kitchen...ok, done thinking about that...we're on a break after all.
Cordi earned her big pullstring Woody doll. Momma gave in after 21 days accident free and gave her the doll...Ari was crushed, but not enough so to stop pooing in the diapers...I am running out of ideas for her...Cordi is so proud that she gets to always sleep in undies, and proudly proclaims, "NO, I don't need diapers anymore" if sister suggests she needs one for nap or bed.
Vacation...a word I am not familiar with...but will be...after work this evening we are headed to Colorado...we being Armen and I...no girls...crazy I know, but after 2 years of hard labor on the house and no vacation since the girls were 5 months old, it's time. Armen's folks are keeping them for us which is fantastic, I am excited to sleep, eat, not be required to take care of anyone else...and mostly spend quality time with my husband something that hasn't happened in awhile...I mean it has, but not like 5 days of just us...yay!
The shop has been busy, it's on vacation now cause I am...but last week was crazy trying to get orders tied up to leave town...I believe in total I sewed 19 shirts and onesies...granted a couple of those (2) were gifts and a couple (2) were my own projects of making the girls their 3rd birthday shirts...but that's a lot of shirts...kind of fun...I will have to show off some of the things I worked on cause they were cute.
We've been biking a lot too...in the mornings 4-5 times a week the girls and I head out for a 8-9 mile ride, they strap in in my new bike trailer and snack on cereal breakfast while mommy works away. It's been quite fun for me to actually have a source to exercise that I can bring the girls along for...cause heaven knows running in place on a tredmill to nowhere wasn't very exciting and thus I didn't do it...and pushing them in the jogging stroller was FAR too much work when it's 50+ pounds of children...
That's about it...enjoying a slightly quieter time at the moment...and really enjoying it...it's nice to not have dust and debris and a project every day or weekend. It's a nice breather. Kinda feels like we actually have a family again...crazy I know.
