Happenings...

It has occurred to me it has been awhile since i have blogged.  i will apologize as this won't have any pics...maybe later. here's the runnings of life around here...

-we finished up the main floor renovations for now, enough to finish our re-fi and decide to take a LONG break from projects to recover our sanity and our funds.

-i am hard core working on finalizing potty training with the girls. cordi is doing fantastic and has been 8 days accident free AND wears undies at nap and bedtime. ari...well, she is somewhat purposeful on waiting to poo till she has a diaper on...which is the main reason for the hard core push to train...they are fine during the day, i just tire of poo after every nap/bedtime...plus the fact that she had it and was doing great for months and then...poof regression.  they are currently working on sticker charts with the promise of a big toy at the end...they have their sights set on pull string woody and jessie dolls...meanwhile we reward with small things here and there to keep up spirits...we shall see...

-about a week ago as i was driving home from my folks' house a guy turned right on red into the incorrect lane, which I was currently occupying, hit me and forced my car up onto the median.  The girls were with me, and everyone is fine, but I wasn't entirely sure about the other driver...I wasn't sure he would stop...and wasn't sure he was quite all there.  After 8+ days of calling repeatidly to his insurance company and hounding them, 2 estimates of $2700 (probably more with some suspension damage they couldn't see without lifting it) and lots of frustrations, we received word today that they got ahold of their insured and are going to pay for my car...and 2 new car seats...and a rental car.  *whew* hoping it goes smoothly from here...

It may not seem like much but man, those few events have sucked up a lot of time and energy.  I am thankful everyone is safe and sound, I am sad my first brand spanking new car is no longer brand spanking new...although I do know it's just a possession, I realize that I like to take care of the things I am given and my mazda5 is a bit like a 3rd child to me...yeah...I may have been married to armen for too long...but I don't mind one bit.

  1. I'm so glad you and the girl's are okay!! How scary :( Also..I can understand the tiring potty training process. Clara now doesn't like to potty in her diaper so at nap time she completely takes allll her little clothes off and potty's in the corner of her crib. We're working on that too! :)
