Thought I would share...those who know me know I LOVE to bake. It's kind of a passion...and I suppose one of the closest things to a hobby I have. Christmas is my favorite...ever since I was little my family has always had TONS of cookies around...and always an assortment. My mom was always good at having 5-6 kinds of cookies out every year, and so...when I got older and married, I took it upon myself to carry on the tradition. It's a lot of work, but, it's the one part of Christmas I adore...I excitedly look forward to the time I can spend in the kitchen and the joy I know it brings. While I do not eat every kind of cookie, I know what particular family members enjoy and try to continue to make those as a blessing to them. This year, the cookies are sitting outside in the cold trying to stay fresh till we actually get to celebrate with family...so...for those near and far...since shipping cookies doesn't really work...some pictures of this year's "cookie-pa-looza"...believe it or not...this was a tame year of baking...and for kicks and giggles I kept track...the sum total of all the baking/goody making was a whopping 31.5 dozen treats...crazy huh?
